'OXI' Day Celebrations
As a school, we are immensely proud of the enthusiasm displayed by students and staff during ‘OXI’ Day commemorations. October 28, known as Εικοστή Ογδόη Οκτωβρίου–Η ημέρα του Όχι, is the National holiday of Greece and a great reminder of their peoples’ unceasing struggle for freedom, justice and humanity.
This year on 23 October, All Saints Grammar students represented our school community at the Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation of Our Lady. The Liturgy was presided over by Metropolitan Andreas of Saranta Ekklisies (Forty Churches) and in the presence of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios. After the Divine Liturgy, students participated in a doxology and wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the Greek National Day.
Thank you to all our families, for coming along to the All Saints Grammar ‘OXI’ Day ceremony on Sunday 30 October. It was a honour to share in the commemoration of ‘OXI’ Day with our wonderful school community.
